YOUR HOST & SPEAKERS
Meet our Host, Mike Potts, and our speakers for this month:
Mike is a business-owner, entrepreneur, husband and father.
Always busy with a day-job and entrepreneurial interests, Mike still finds time to give back by organising and hosting Generosity Live Manchester and by being a member of Kinder Mountain Rescue Team, the latter tapping into his love of the outdoors.
Founder of the Give2Gain Community network which is made up of local individuals; local organisations and not for profit businesses and for profit businesses. It has grown out of the Give2Gain Timebank, a local Stockport community Timebank.
The Give2Gain Community Timebank is free to join and involves giving your time to help other local people. Every hour of help you give earns you a Time Credit, no matter what help you give. Your Time Credits can be used to receive help from other Timebank Members, or you can donate them to the Community Pot, for another Timebank Member to use.
The Give2Gain Community Connect Plus network provides the space for like-minded, community orientated organisations and businesses to meet. Meetings and conversations then lead to the development of mutually supportive relationships that benefit both local business and the local community.

What people are saying about Generosity Live Manchester
"I've just been at the first, ever, Generosity event Manchester; had a really great time. I go to a lot of networking events, meet with a lot of business people as I go around my work. What was great today was the opportunity to listen to some fantastic business leaders speaking and giving their tips, and sharing their knowledge freely, which is always fantastic; I met some great individuals and got some contacts that I never would have done and, actually, have come away with some fantastic information and, potentially, a bit of a strategic alliance set up with somebody as well. And all of that under the umbrella of (doing) a load of good for The Booth Centre in Manchester. We all came along and donated some food items and stuff that we were able to take up to The Booth Centre afterwards. So, for it to be focused on doing good for other people, really kind of adds that extra dimension to today, as opposed to the other stuff we do. So, I would highly recommend getting along; find a Generosity Live event on Facebook and all the details of the future events will be on there".Jason Brooks Director @ Brooks Business Coaching and Training
"I've learned, today, a lot of stuff around Social Media; I work within Social Media Management for some companies and it's always good to get more ideas from that. I loved hearing Tor (Reflsand) talking across Skype, the passion that he brought across from himself, how he actually leverages with people to get better connections. I think it's a really great event, I recommend it highly and I think the more and more people that come along, we'll get an even better feedback and better results from it and it's all for a good cause. So, that's the key thing for me, it's not just about gaining good contacts, it's also helping locally".Richard Nurse Business Owner @ Black and Amber Consulting
"Today was very useful because we heard two very interesting speakers but, what I think's even more useful, is to get to chat to other business people from Greater Manchester because you never know where your next piece of work is going to come from and those kind of useful conversations can bear fruit weeks, or even months, down the line".Steve Rawling Trainer & Consultant @ newthinking.tools
"I've learned some more things about content on Social Media, the importance of networking with businesses in Manchester and how useful Consultancy is for us; it's really great to gain those connections. It's a really, really good event to network with people. The speed-dealing was really interesting; to hear how we could help each other. I think it's a great event".Lucie Fitzpatrick Marketing Officer @ Arts for Recovery in the Community (ARC)
